Harness the value of your data with AI
Memory and storage are instrumental for AI to quickly, efficiently transform stacks of unstructured data.
Micron memory and storage solutions help accelerate AI computer vision, natural language processing, and predictions and forecasting. You can’t afford to slip behind on these three key AI use cases. Use the Micron advantage in performance and capacity to accelerate AI training and inference and optimize its ability to analyze lakes of data for a business advantage. Micron can help you implement and optimize AI to help grow your business and outpace your competition.
Which DRAM and SSD is ideal for your company’s quest to integrate or accelerate AI? Let Micron’s memory and storage experts assist you in fine-tuning cost and performance to meet your needs and budget. Micron understands the critical – often understated – role that server DRAM and data center SSDs play in reducing the time to train AI models, minimize AI-related compute costs and improve the accuracy of AI inferencing. Let us help you gain the Micron AI advantage.
Improve the balance between AI performance and cost
Reduce AI training time, minimize compute costs and improve inferencing accuracy
If computer vision, natural language processing, predictions and forecasting are the cornerstones of AI technology, then server memory and storage is the bedrock on which smarter businesses are built. Whether training AI models or using AI inference to put those models into action, Micron’s data center solutions play a critical role in improving the speed and accuracy of AI while minimizing costs.

- Based on the comparison 100TB ingest time calculated from the 128KB sequential write specs in the public product briefs for the Micron 6500 ION SSD and the Solidigm D5-P5430 capacity-focused QLC SSD.
Fast capacity for AI inferencing
96GB DDR5 server DRAM has the density to accelerate AI while minimizing costs
AI inference — or the ability of a trained model to make predictions, solve problems and complete tasks in the real world — is tied to the availability of highcapacity, high-speed and reliable memory, which is needed to perform the millions of calculations necessary to successfully run an AI model.
Similar to AI training memory requirements, inference demands fast, high-density memory to store trained models while feeding the data to CPUs and GPUs for processing. However, not all workloads require 128GB DDR5 densities, and you can achieve comparable throughput with 96GB DDR5 at a lower cost.
Keep expensive GPUs and CPUs from idling
Micron® 9400 NVMe™ SSD test results prove its efficiency for AI training
Training AI takes time, but there are ways to reduce this by making it more efficient. A particular problem that AI runs into is the idle time in the flow of training. Not only does this slow down training, but it muddies the process as the computer takes advantage of idle time to deal with background processes. A big problem with this is not only the time it takes away from the CPU and GPU cores working, but the expense it incurs from that hesitation in working such expensive elements. Smart storage solutions offer a smoother feed of information to AI. Test data shows that is exactly what Micron 9400 NVMe SSDs can do.
While testing storage for AI workloads is a challenging task because running actual training can require specialty hardware that may be expensive and can change quickly, this is where MLPerf comes in to help test storage for AI workloads.
