Jason Chibnall

Managing Director

For over 15 years, Jason has shaped some of our most transformative technology initiatives. In 2018, Jason took on the role as Global Chief Information Officer for the Exertis Group, leading our technology portfolio and was appointed Managing Director of Exertis Enterprise in 2021. Previous to Exertis, Jason’s leadership roles included board appointments at blue chip companies in retail, sales and communications such as Blockbuster Video, Phones 4 U and Par Microsystems (a multinational company providing technology to McDonalds, KFC and Taco Bell).

My favourite director?

Steven Spielberg, has created "milestone movies" for me. From childhood wonder to emotional storytelling as a young adult, and teaching history as a middle-aged man, his films have profoundly impacted me

Something people might not know about you?

I own several guitars and play them badly. While working as a Blockbuster director, I championed The Children's Starlight Foundation, raising over £1 million in 18 months for terminally ill children. I'm proud to have been part of that!

Best piece of advice?

I believe businesses thrive on trust and valuing each other. By being authentic and sharing a bit of myself, I encourage the levelling of ideas and opinions within the organisation.

Phil Browne

Director of Sales - UK

After graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2002, Phil joined Hammer as a telemarketer, moving into an account management sales role two years later. He progressed quickly to become premier account manager then sales manager in 2008. Phil became general manager in 2018 and then sales director of the UK enterprise functions in June 2021. Away from the hustle and bustle of enterprise sales, Phil is both a devoted family man and massive Leeds United fan.

Tom Cox

Commercial Director

Tom started his working life as computer engineer just before the launch of Windows 95. After 4 years of working on the technical side of business, Tom decided to enter the world of sales account management with IBM focusing on server and storage solutions for the London primary area. Tom then joined Hammer PLC in the May 2005 as an account manager and quickly progressed through to senior account manager and then into a Business Development role for the Intel server business. Over the next 12 years Tom progressed into server/storage sales management through to General Manager covering the UK and Europe, and in October of 2019 was made Commercial Director at Exertis Enterprise for three key areas of the business, those being Advanced Technology Solutions, Software Defined Storage, and Datacentre. When away from Exertis Tom loves spending time with his wife and two children. He’s also a keen golfer and is more often than not left bitterly disappointed by his beloved Tottenham Hotspurs!

Jake Breach

Head of Channel Marketing

Jake Breach, a marketing expert, has excelled in channel and vendor marketing, especially as Exertis UK's Head since March 2023. His tenure at Acer UK led to top gaming marketing rankings in EMEA, while at Veeam Software, he notably increased campaigns and partner engagement in the UK & Ireland, earning recognition for outstanding marketing efforts. Jake's innovative strategies and adept use of digital marketing and AI tools have significantly marked his contributions, showcasing his passion and creative prowess in the field.

Matthew Croucher

Finance Director

Matt graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in law in 2000 and took on a number of diverse financial roles in local government before embarking on a training contract with established accountancy practice J B Titchener & Co Ltd. Excelling through the ACCA accountancy qualifications, Matt left the firm as an audit senior in 2005. Joining Exertis Enterprise as finance manager in March of that year, Matt went on to assume responsibility for the customer service department before being appointed to the board as finance director in 2014, taking ownership of all financial and operational management across the group.

Paul Hickingbotham

Technical Director

After starting his career in the manufacturing of clothing and Avionics, Paul moved into the IT reseller channel in network installation, ERP installations, end user training and PC/server builds. He then joined Hammer PLC in 2000 as their first solutions business development manager. In 2011 Paul established Malleus Ltd as Hammer’s Professional Services division and became technical director. Then following the Exertis acquisition of Hammer, Paul continued his role, focussing solely on the Exertis Enterprise part of the wider business.

Beccy Davies

Head of HR

Meet Beccy our Head of HR. With over 20 years’ experience Beccy has worked in a range of HR leadership roles across a range of diverse businesses. Known for her collaborative spirit she thrives on challenging the status quo and delivering projects which deliver on innovative thinking and real business value. Passionate about developing people and enabling Managers to get the best out of their Teams to fuel organisational success. Beccy is a dog-mum, step-mum and in her spare time loves reading and socialising.

Steve Cowley

Director of Sales - Europe

Steve began his Exertis Enterprise career in 2001 as an account manager, after graduating from the University of Salford with a BA in Sports and Business Management. He has since held positions such as sales manager for volume, storage products, new business, Dell, and storage solutions. Benefitting from managerial experience of a plethora of teams and members of staff, Steve is now responsible for Exertis Enterprise's regional offices which are in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and the Nordics.

Nick Powling

Commercial Director

Nick has been with the company since 2004 and has held various BDM and commercial roles within Hammer prior to becoming Commercial Director for Enterprise Components and Networking at Exertis Enterprise in 2020. With over 20 years’ experience of working in the channel starting at Seagate, Nick has a proven track record in business development and has played an instrumental part in Exertis Enterprise’s continuing growth and success within diverse channel sales environments and markets.

Dominic Ryles

Business Development Director
